Kindergarten Thanksgiving

leave a comment »

I went to a kindergarten Thanksgiving re-enactment a few days ago over in Mesa.  This kid was playing around with the paper and looking all over the classroom so I waited for him to turn my way and snapped a few frames.

Final ASU game..

leave a comment »

Saturday was the last game of the season not only for the seniors on the team, but probably the last game I will shoot there for a while since I will be graduating in May.  I shot every home game as well as two away games since I started working at the State Press and have great memories at the stadium.  I wish the outcome of the game would have been better, but I still had fun and I’ll miss it for sure.

UCLA and a 500mm lens

with one comment

Myself and few reporters from the State Press drove up to the Rose Bowl for Saturdays game against UCLA.  I ended up renting a 500mm and really enjoyed using it. It took a few plays to get use to, but after that it was so much fun to use.

Swim

It seems like swim meets have consumed my life this past weekend and the weekend before, but you cant beat some of the sweet reflections you get off the water.

These past few days have been so busy.  Sunday was the Gilbert Days Rodeo Kickoff, but nothing really happened except some people eating.

Tuba City Navajo Reservation

with 2 comments

I went up to the Navajo Reservation located in Tuba City today with a reporter to meet up with Andrew, who is a Navajo veteran, and his wife Vanessa.  It was again so interesting to see how they live and we had a great time with them just hanging out at their homes, Andrew’s mothers house and around town.  They are both very active within the community and helping out not only veterans, but anyone in need of clothing and other items.

Swim and Dive

with one comment

I haven’t shot swimming in a good amount of time, but it was fun to do it again.  I got up on the tallest of the diving platforms to shoot down and that was a little scary, never realized how tall those are. swim2swim3swim4

Saturday Football

It seems like the past two games have been pretty action-less except for a few good plays.  This weekend was the same, as I mainly got a lot of stock images.
