NHRA Drag Racing and Spring Training

Went out to Firebird Raceway on Saturday and shot the drags for the first time.  Being 10 feet away from them as they take off is so crazy, my whole body was shaking.  Then I was off to spring training, but the rain put an end to that quickly.

First Fridays and the Renaissance Festival

My first assignment for the Republic was First Fridays and it also happened to be the first time I had ever been to it.

A day with ASU’s President Crow

About three months ago when I was still at the State Press there was an idea floating around to follow Crow around for the day and see what his day was like.  I began pushing pretty hard for this to happen, but after about two months nothing really came about of it.  So finally after three months of waiting it was finally approved to follow him around with a reporter as well.  Even though I don’t work there anymore they brought me back for this last assignment.  It was not fully what I expected, but overall enjoyed my 12 hour day with him and wow he is one busy dude.  Here are a few from the day and the rest can be seen here. http://www.statepress.com/node/10412
